My UFC 115 Predictions:
Im having a bet with my brother on the main card for UFC 115. Im posting this to see the feedback and to get an overall feel about how my picks compare to other MMA watchers. First ill start out with the first fight on the Main Card. Carlos Condit vs. Rory MacDonald. Condit is coming of a Split Decision win over Jake Ellenberger. Condit trains with Greg Jackson's camp in New Mexico. He has good standing strikes, and a very well-rounded submission game. MacDonald is a Canadian fighter who has had one fight in the UFC. He is undefeated in his 10 professional fights, all of them by stoppage. Six submission wins and four KO/TKO victories. I see this fight ending early in the second round with Condit ending MacDonald's winning streak. Condit submission round 2. Next is Rothwell vs. Yvel. Both are coming off of TKO loses to top contenders in the Heavyweight division. If this fight hits the canvas other than one being knocked out, I will be surprised. Both fighters are experienced and have fought serious competition. Yvel is the only person ever to stop fellow UFC Heavyweight Cheick Kongo by punches. This fight well end fast and spectacular with Yvel winning by KO. All ill say about the next one is Paulo Thiago by HOLY CRAP. Thiago submission. I believe this event should be called UFC 115: Stoppage. Cro Cop vs Barry is a fight ive been excited for ever since it was announced. Cro Cop says his training is rejuvenated and better (we can only hope). This will be a war of kicks. Left, right, leg, head, any kind of kick you can imagine. I fear it will be Cro Cop-dos Santos II. Cro Cop not pulling the trigger trying to push his opponent away from him. I see this fight ending in devastating fashion. I'm torn on this fight cause I don't know if I should go with my heart or with my gut. I'm going out on a limb and i'm going with the Croatian Sensation by TKO round three. Then the main event. Liddell and Franklin. Math teacher and Road warrior. Its been a little over a year since Liddell has fought, and Franklin hasn't fought since September. Liddell has lost four of the last five of his fights. I saw a recent picture of him and he looks to be in AWESOME shape. I just think its really time for him to hang em' up. I'm a fan of Liddell put he needs to start coaching instead of getting knocked out. Franklin is to fast for him to handle. I don't think this will be stopped though. Franklin UD.
